He joined the Air Force at the age of 17, and served in many overseas theatres including the Falkland Islands and Iraq during the 2nd Gulf War, before leaving the Service as a wing commander in 2007. However, despite leaving the military as a senior officer within 4 years he was dislocated, desperate and broke.
